Terms of Service

How our services work

Last updated: June 2026 · These terms apply to all Hearthplay services and website access.

Scope of these terms

By using the Hearthplay website or engaging with any of our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. They set out what you can expect from us and what we ask of you in return. We've tried to keep them readable — if anything isn't clear, we're happy to explain.

These terms apply to all visitors to the site and to anyone who purchases or engages with a Hearthplay service. They govern the relationship between you and Hearthplay.

1. Using our services

Acceptable use: You may use this website and our services for lawful purposes only. Our services are designed to assist with family-oriented mobile game development, and we ask that you engage with them in that spirit.

Permitted uses include:

  • Browsing and reading content published on this site
  • Submitting enquiries through the contact form
  • Purchasing and using services for your stated project purpose
  • Sharing deliverables you've received with collaborators on your project

Prohibited uses include:

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing deliverables as standalone products without agreement
  • Using the site or services in a way that harms or harasses others
  • Attempting to interfere with the site's operation or security
  • Submitting false or misleading information

Fair use: We work with a limited number of clients at a time in order to give each project genuine attention. We ask that you engage in good faith — clear communication, reasonable timelines, and honest feedback.

2. Access and enquiries

No account required: Hearthplay does not currently require account creation to access or use the site. Services are initiated through direct contact.

Enquiry submissions: When you submit a message through the contact form, you're not entering into a contract. You're starting a conversation. Any agreement on services will be confirmed separately.

Accuracy of information: Please provide accurate information when contacting us. Inaccurate project details may affect the service we're able to provide and any agreed deliverables.

Access suspension: We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to anyone who uses our services in bad faith, misrepresents their project, or violates these terms.

3. Service availability and changes

Availability: We aim to keep this website accessible at all times, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned or unexpected maintenance may cause temporary downtime.

Service modifications: We may update the scope, pricing, or structure of services at any time. Any active project will be completed under the terms agreed at the time of engagement.

Geographic access: Our services are available globally, though communication is conducted in English. Some payment or delivery methods may not be available in all regions.

Discontinuation: Hearthplay may discontinue specific services or the site with reasonable notice. Active projects will be honoured or appropriately handled.

4. Intellectual property

Site content: All content on the Hearthplay website — including text, design, and structure — belongs to Hearthplay and may not be reproduced without permission.

Project deliverables: Ownership of deliverables produced for your project will be confirmed in your project agreement. In general, materials created specifically for your project pass to you upon completion and full payment.

Pre-existing materials: Any frameworks, templates, or methodologies we bring to a project remain the property of Hearthplay. What's yours is yours — what's ours stays ours unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

Portfolio use: Unless you tell us otherwise, we may reference your project name in our portfolio. We will not share deliverables publicly without your written consent.

5. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If you have questions about anything in these terms, or want clarification before starting a project, please reach out through the contact page. We'd rather talk things through than leave anything unclear.
